Indian motorcycles are an American classic that has been
revived and characteristic classic styled cruisers like the Vintage motorbike
and Roadmaster. While the other Motor Company has become the defining antique
motorcycle parts manufacturer, Indian is the oldest motor bike marque claiming a
founding date of 1905. The largest competitor to Harley-Davidson motorcycle,
Indian motorcycle prostrate apart in a post- decline. Since its demise, two
significant redesign has been attempted. The first was the Gilroy,
California-based Indian Motorcycle Company of America, which folded in 2005.
The Indian powerplus
parts lay dormant for a number of years until a London-based equity
firm, Stellican Limited, began producing Indian Chief Indian powerplus parts
and Indian Daytona in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. While updates such as
fuel injection and motorbike redesigned engine were employed in the “King’s
Mountain” models, the reception was underwhelming.
